Hello, if you are looking for information about the 1000 calorie diet plan then you have come to the right place…
Because I want to tell you the truth about it without holding anything back. I’m going to tell it like it is so if you are dead-set on this diet, then you might not want to read this. I’ll tell you the pros and cons of the diet and let you decide for yourself if it is right for you.
Ok, why am I writing this in the first place? You see, my family has a history of obesity. Most of the people in my family are overweight and are constantly trying out new diets. So no, I am not a doctor…but I do have first hand experience with lots of different types of diets.
So what exactly is the 1000 Calorie Diet? It is pretty simple actually…you can eat whatever you want just so you don’t consume more than 1000 calories each day. You can eat as much or as often as you’d like, just keep it under 1k calories!
Does it work? Heck yes! If you stick with the diet and stay under one thousand calories a day, you will be able to results fairly quickly. Chances are within a week or two you will see a noticeable difference in your weight.
Should you use this diet? That’s the million dollar question. It will definitely help you lose weight, but I am a little reluctant to recommend this diet to people. Here is why:
- You will lose weight. That is the most important thing for most people.
- You can eat whatever you want and when you want. There are no specific restrictions on foods…have what you want just so you don’t have too many calories
- Nobody likes counting calories all the time. Or at least I don’t!
- You will feel hungry all the time because 1000 calories a day just isn’t enough food for most people.
- If you aren’t eating enough, malnutrition is possible and that means possible side effects like depression, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, a weakened immune system, and digestive problems
- It is not a long term diet and should only be used for a few weeks maximum
You can see why I have decided that this is not the right diet for me. If you don’t mind these possible side effects and feeling hungry all the time then this may be a good diet for you. A lot of small-framed woman don’t consume many calories in a day anyway, so this option is fine for people who don’t need to lose much weight.
But if you are serious about losing a lot of weight, then you will be much better off with a different diet. Starvation is a good way to lose weight, but it is definitely not a healthy option. There are plenty of good alternatives available (Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, etc) but I recommend checking out something called the Fat Loss Factor
The Fat Loss Factor is a fairly new diet guide, but it is becoming more popular every day. It is one of the bestselling diet books online, and here’s why. Unlike the 1000 calorie diet (which is basically just starvation for many people), The Fast Loss Factor was created by a real doctor named Charles Livingston..
FLF focuses on getting rid of fat and boosting energy in four simple steps. It is written in an easy “do this not that” type format and will help you lose weight. Yes you will have to learn to control your food portions, but you can still splurge now and then. And yes you will need to exercise, but FLF only requires about three simple 15 minute workouts each week, which is easily doable for anyone. And unlike only eating 1000 calories a day…this is actually a long term healthy diet.
The Bottom Line:
Overall, the 1000 calorie diet plan is an effective way to lose weight. It works great for some people, but for most of us it is just not a healthy option. There are tons of good diets out there, and only you can decide which one is right for you. But if you ask me for my recommendation, then I suggest going with what has helped other people lose weight. Stick with a proven healthy diet that works.
